The HLM L horizontal lathes are the largest manually operated models in the TDZ Turn range, designed for machining parts weighing up to 35,000 kg.

They are designed as extremely rigid and robust machines, which is ensured by the use of cast iron for the bed, slide, headstock and tailstock. The bed, which can be up to 7 meters long and is made of a single piece of cast iron, effectively dampens vibrations, which contributes to their stable performance. 

These machines achieve high accuracy thanks to hardened guide surfaces with a hardness of up to 58 HRC. In addition, the guide surfaces are ground in one clamping, which guarantees long-term machining accuracy and stability of the lathe.
