PSL a.s., part of the thyssenkrupp rothe erde group, manufactures bearings for the most demanding applications – from wind turbines to large machining centers. The components are massive (up to 3.5m in diameter), but they still have to function with micro-tolerance even under extreme loads. 

In order to be able to handle the high demands on precision, production speed and reliability, they decided to modernize their machining capacities with CNC lathes from TDZTurn. Five VLC vertical lathes of various sizes, tailored to PSL’s requirements, entered production. 

Thanks to this investment, PSL has achieved a significant reduction in production cycles, higher process stability and technical readiness for automation. Each machine brings with it precision, robustness and long-term reliability – the exact basis for the production of bearings that must last for years in action.
